Laurie’s Story

Laurie McIntosh, MS, OTR/L, ATP Laurie joined AT for Education & Access4Employment after working as an OT (occupational therapist) in public schools and private practice for 38 years. She is a nationally certified ATP. Her primary experience has been working with school teams to provide accessible educational materials, specially designed instruction, and computer access to students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and autism. She has worked with students from preschool to high school, and adults across the lifespan. Laurie is a faculty instructor for the UNH4U Bridges program, at the University of New Hampshire, and she has recently started a nonprofit organization called Our Place with a goal of creating supportive housing for adults with developmental disabilities in the Dover NH area. https://www.ourplacenh.org/

Laurie earned her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire, and is a speaker, presenter and trainer including at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy Masters OT program, AOTA annual conference, New Hampshire OT Association annual conference and various conferences & workshops nationally, as well as the workshops and webinars for ATforED clients. Her knowledge and skills also support our transition age clients and adult individuals in college, the workplace and community (Access4Employment)
